Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on 7 December th, 1963 in Edo State, Nigeria, grew up in a family that was a faith-based one, and was surrounded by loving and loving parents. He is the father of Elder T.E Oyakhilome who was one of the first pioneers of the Assemblies to God Church in Benin City. Angelina and the matriarch Oyakhilome were also his parents. The divine grace of her mother was passed on to her son at an early age.

Pastor Chris is blessed with two daughters, Charlene and Carissa Sharon. Carissa Sharon is following the route of her father in preaching the Gospel of God to the world. Also known as CSO, she is a Grammy-winning gospel artist and is a part of LoveWorld Music and Arts.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his education at Edo College. After a grant was made to pursue a degree in architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University) and he earned the BSc degree in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science. He also holds an honourary doctorate in divinity from Benson Idahosa University.  Oyakhilome Ambrose Ali University was his first university. He received a call from God to join the ministry and serve the Lord.

His prayer group,  called 'Youth for Christ', would quickly become one of campus' most well-known groups. They would later go on to create LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy with millions of followers.

The LoveWorld ministry, under the leadership of Chris, the pastor Chris, became an early pioneer in satellite television and Christian television programming. LoveWorldSAT is the first Christian TV station to broadcast from Africa 24/7 a day, on free-to air networks. Today, LoveWorld television stations are available on satellite and cable networks all over the world.

Christ Embassy has strong presence in Pastor Chris’s native Nigeria, South Africa and Canada. The ministry also has two Healing School in South Africa, Canada and the United States. Pastor Chris runs sessions throughout the year, where miracles are possible.
